A note on availability

ÎleO is intentionally small. Availability is limited to maintain care, connection, and quality within the community.

  • ÎleO Standard: Matches your family with curated local hosts. One-time $250 Matching Fee.
  • ÎleO Premium: Professionally managed homes through Coral & Coco and PMI Curaçao.
  • Own Home: Arrange your own housing and join ÎleO for the program and community.

All placements are reviewed for alignment and community fit.

FAQ

Questions about booking & pricing

Can I join for less than a full cohort season?

Yes, our program is designed with flexibility in mind. The full cohort season is three months, and this is what we encourage for families who want the complete cultural, educational, and community experience. However, we welcome families who can only stay for 30 to 90 days.

Stays shorter than 30 days are considered on a very limited basis, for families who truly want to join but cannot commit to a full month. Here's how we allocate spots:

  • First priority: full 3-month (full season) families
  • Second priority: 1-month (single cohort) families
  • Third priority (if space remains): shorter stays, case by case

Book a consultation and we'll work with you to find the right fit.

What housing options can I choose?

Every family can choose one of three equal housing paths:

  • ÎleO Standard: comfortable, family-friendly homes operated by curated local hosts, mostly in Otrobanda and select Punda properties. A one-time $250 Matching Fee covers our curation and connection to your host.
  • ÎleO Premium: professionally managed homes through Coral & Coco and PMI Curaçao, with premium amenities and concierge support. A 10% Bundle Discount applies to the eligible subtotal.
  • Own Home: arrange your own apartment, hotel, or Airbnb and join ÎleO for the program and community. This path includes Community Access and excludes only the housing charge.

Every housing path includes Community Access for the selected number of parents. The meal plan remains optional for every housing path.

How do housing fees and discounts work?

The 10% Bundle Discount applies only when you select ÎleO Premium. It is calculated on the subtotal of the Program Fee, Community Access, Premium housing, and any selected Meal Plan. Registration and other one-time fees are not discounted.

ÎleO Standard does not receive the Bundle Discount and adds one $250 Matching Fee per booking. Community Access is calculated per parent for every housing path. Own Home has no housing charge, Matching Fee, or Bundle Discount.

A one-time Registration Fee of $250 per child applies to every housing path and is not discounted.

When are payments due, and can I pay in installments?

Typical installment structures are:

  • 25% deposit due within 7 days of signing your Booking Confirmation (non-refundable)
  • 50% second installment due 90 days before arrival
  • 25% final installment due 30 days before arrival

Families may also choose to pay in full at the time of booking. Specific dates are confirmed in your individual Booking Confirmation.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Our cancellation policy is based on how many calendar days separate your written cancellation from your scheduled arrival date:

  • More than 90 days before arrival: 25% deposit non-refundable. Remaining payments fully refundable if not yet paid.
  • 60 to 90 days before arrival: 25% deposit non-refundable. 50% of remaining payments non-refundable. Final 25% refundable if paid.
  • 30 to 60 days before arrival: 100% of all payments non-refundable.
  • Less than 30 days before arrival, or no-show: 100% of all payments non-refundable.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to hello@ileo.life. Full terms are detailed in the ÎleO Family Service Agreement. We strongly recommend travel insurance.

Are there sibling discounts?

Yes. Tuition is discounted for additional children:

  • 2nd child: 5% off tuition
  • 3rd child: 10% off tuition
  • 4th child: 15% off tuition
  • 5th child: 20% off tuition
  • 6th child and beyond: 25% off tuition

Discounts apply to the program fee per child and are reflected automatically in the Craft Your Stay calculator.

Is travel insurance included or required?

Travel insurance is not included but is strongly recommended for every family. We ask that all families carry medical and trip cancellation insurance for the duration of their stay. Your health, your children's safety, and your financial investment all matter, and good travel insurance protects all three.

Are flights included?

Flights are not included. Families book their own travel to Hato International Airport (CUR) in Curaçao. We confirm available arrival and transportation support during consultation based on your housing selection. Most families fly in from the US East Coast or via Amsterdam from Europe.

Is the coworking space included for both parents?

Community Access is priced per parent, and the rate varies by season and stay length. It is included for each selected parent with ÎleO Standard, ÎleO Premium, and Own Home, covering coworking, the welcome dinner, weekly community events, private call rooms, and parent circles. The Craft Your Stay calculator shows the live calculation for your selection.

How do I apply, and is there a vetting process?

The process is simple and conversational:

  • Start by submitting a consultation request through our Craft Your Stay page.
  • We schedule a 30-minute call to learn about your family, answer questions, and confirm fit.
  • If aligned, we send you a booking proposal with personalized housing and pricing.
  • You secure your spot with a non-refundable deposit, and we begin pre-arrival onboarding together.

Yes, we do review all placements for community alignment and fit, not to exclude but to protect the experience for every family in the cohort.

Do both parents need to be on-island, or can one parent travel back and forth?

Only one parent needs to be on-island. We understand that many families have one partner who travels for work, has client commitments, or simply prefers a flexible schedule. As long as one parent is present with the enrolled children, the other is welcome to come and go as needed.

How far in advance should I apply?

As early as possible. Because our cohorts are limited to 6–10 families, spots tend to fill quickly, especially for Fall and Winter, our most popular seasons. We recommend booking at least 4–6 months before your desired cohort start date. If you're interested in Fall 2026, reach out now to secure your place.
